Skills and Qualifications Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently most of the time. Work closely with front-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, functional, and intuitive implementation. Managing all technical aspects of the CMS. Ensuring high-performance and availability. Establishing and guiding the website's architecture. Position Responsibilities Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality. They should be self-sufficient and able to perform all job duties without assistance. By day 90, this person should be looking at the site and making recommendations to streamline, automate and improve functionality. By day 60, they should have a good foundation of how the site is built and be able to navigate all site tools with minimal assistance and pick up assignments with less mentoring from teammates. Working collaboratively with other web team members to assist in code issues and troubleshoot issues. They will be responsible for handling web tickets and troubleshooting issues with the help of the team, creating custom code as needed and conducting Ghost Inspector tests to ensure nothing is broken and the site is running well. 30/60/90 Plan This individual will take on most WatchGuard web projects from day one. Some applications used daily: Ghost Inspector, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Acquia Pipelines, and Github. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the CMS and ensuring the website runs smoothly and remains up to date with any theme, core, or module updates. Meeting with the front-end developer and visual designer to discuss new site needs and then working with the team to translate the web comp and requirements into new templates or tools. You will be responsible for web request tickets which may include enhancements, scheduled launches, and fixing any bugs in a timely manner. Daily responsibilities will include architecting and implementing new features and functionality on the site. A Day in the Life As a Drupal Developer, your main responsibility will be development and theming for the WatchGuard website ( ). This is a full-time position as a part of the growing WatchGuard marketing team. You will be responsible for maintaining the website and ensuring minimal downtime through documentation, communication, and close cooperation with WatchGuard's IT Team. This position requires the ability to be the in-house Drupal expert, you must be able to think strategically and look at the big picture to create solutions for the website that will last for years to come and improve the usability of the site.
