So I moved out to Texas and I became part of the Duke Nukem 3D team. I chose 3D Realms because they published Wolfenheim 3D, and they were creating a new genre. , I got down to where I was deciding between two options, working for LucasArts on Star Wars video games, or this company in Texas called 3D Realms, where I would be working on Duke Nukem. I imagined that video games were created in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory or something, and there'd be little bits running around in the chocolate river, and then through this magical process, a game would come out on the other end. When you go to an arcade and see a big coin-operated box and it's got art on it, and it's all put together really well, then you know that's some kind of process that's out of reach to have that result. I never understood the difference between what I was doing as a hobby and how professional commercial things were made. It was on personal computers before we had graphics. The Expander is an extension of the Shrinker and uses the same weapon number slot. The Atomic Edition adds a new weapon known as the Expander.
